Local, aboard

On the boat’s network, the app talks directly to your LinkTap gateway and Shelly sensors — instant control and live readings with no internet in the loop. This local path works on every plan and keeps working when the uplink doesn’t.

Hosted cloud

Sign in with an account and the app uses the DockNeighbor cloud at api.dockneighbor.com. Thepaid plans apply here:

  • Settings sync — each vehicle’s configuration syncs across all your devices; set it up once on your phone and it’s there on your laptop.
  • Sharing — invite others to a vehicle withroles. Inviting people needs a paid plan on that vehicle — Weekender shares with up to 3, Cruiser up to 5. Being invited is always free.
  • Tier features — valve control (opening the valve from the app, run programming, live flow metering), automatic remote telemetry, hosted history, extra alert destinations, and SMS escalation, according to the vehicle’s plan. (Away push notifications are not among them — push runs on every tier, including Dockside. The valve — control and its automatic shutoff — is part of the paid plans.)
